“Mau Mau Sex Sex" is an entertaining... look at exploitation flicks made from the 1930s through the late 1960s, when they gave way to hardcore porn. Hilariously innocent by contemporary standards, they used such ploys as men finding magic glasses that allowed them to see women without their tops on. In another classic, a serious documentary about the rise of the East African Mau Mau resistance movement was juiced up with footage of "sex-mad natives" shot in front of a painted backdrop in Los Angeles. Like the films it documents, Ted Bonnitt's "Mau Mau Sex Sex" ...delivers. Running time: 80 minutes. Not rated (nudity, violence). |
