If youre one of those people that think documentary films are by nature boring, heres proof that real life is often stranger than fiction. Director Ted Bonnitt has recorded some quality time spent with "Americas oldest living independent filmmakers" 84-year-old Dan Sonney and 76-year-old David Friedman, masters of sleaze and sexploitation, producers of all-time classics like Blood Feast, The Defilers and A Smell of Honey, A Swallow of Brine. The two old codgers reminisce about all the ways in which they got topless women in their films without getting censored and the good old days, before sex was quite so explicit. Theres a gleam in their eyes as they talk of how they pulled off special effects like using a real lamb tongue for one of their gore films, or how they had to hire good looking models to come into their nudist camp exposes because the real nudists werent quite attractive enough. Plus you get to hear them complain about bad hips and other old people stuff. Hilarious!
