Eddie Muller is an author, journalist, illustrator and graphic designer. His latest book is Dark City Dames, The Women of Film Noir (Harper Collins), Dark City: The Lost World of Film Noir (St. Martin'sPress). He is also the co-author of Grindhouse: The Forbidden World of Adults Only Cinema (St. Martin's, 1996), featured in TIME magazine and NPR's "Fresh Air," and named by the Village Voice one of the 25 best art books of 1996. He was the co-editor and designer of Who Shot JFK? A Guide to All the Major Conspiracy Theories (Simon & Schuster, 1993)..
A journalist for more than 12 years, Muller left the fourth estate in 1994 to form his own company, St. Francis Studio. The studio produces "Storytelling in all media."
Muller has appeared on numerous television and radio programs, including ABC World News Now, CNN's Entertainment Today, and Fresh Air, where he discussed dirty movies with NPR's diminutive darling, Terri Gross. He is co-host and programmer of the American Cinematheque's Annual Festival of Film Noir at Hollywood's famed Egyptian Theater.
Muller was a consultant to Turner Classic Movies for the network's two-month "Summer of Darkness" film noir festival in 1999. In addition, he is the founder and curator of the San Francisco Historical Boxing Museum.
